During this week and the following week, I have planned to finish up all of my lineart for my frames, separating the assets within the images into separate layers. I have done this in order to be able to have the characters or backgrounds separate from one another in order to have more access to , for example this image in split up into the following shown to the right. Having the different characters split into separate layers makes moving them around easier and will also give me the chance to export them separately so that once I finally have all the lineart and colour finished I will be able to add more fluid animation into it when I get to the final edit.
Separating out the assets in this method gives me an easier time when it comes to colouring too as I can keep track of what layer I am using more effectively and ensure that I won't make any mistakes that'll come back to bite me in the final edit when bringing everything together.
