For this week I took time to colour all the characters that show up in each frame. Doing this allowed me to focus on the overall composition of each frame and how to place colour in a way that doesn't blend things together in a big mess and sets the characters apart whilst still being in the style of my animation.
This was my first attempt at colouring the first frame of my project. I wasn't sure what it was that was wrong with it but something felt off. I know now that it was the overly detailed character in the midground, along with weird colour combinations that threw off the balance of the image. After taking some time I readjusted the colours and was much happier with the final result. (Shown below)
After playing with the colours and adding shading, I am much happier. Even though once I add backgrounds and mood lighting it will change the overall aesthetic, I know that these base colours are very important for setting the rest of the video up.
