[12/05/2019] The Final Edit

Updated: May 24, 2019

After finishing to create all of my assets needed for finishing my product, I imported my files in to premiere pro on the same file that housed my rough draft. Doing this meant I already had all of the necessary music, sound effects and storyboards in place to work from even if it made the editing process a little hectic in places when some layers would need to be moved several times. I dedicated long periods of time to editing this project, though had to take often breaks to rest my eyes from the parade of bright colours.

In total the editing process took between 5 and 8 hours as a whole which I feel is a very short editing time compared to other editing projects I have done in the past using other software. A highlight of this project has been using software that makes my job animating this product very easy, as Photoshop and Premiere Pro are easy to use and navigate once you know how to use it. Being a quick learner, I picked up new tricks to aid what I wanted to achieve in my initial vision. Though I had to make compromises for what I wanted the project to look like due to time restraints, I am very proud with my final product and am excited to see the response I will get from my audience who watch the video using YouTube.

During the final edit I also put together a Thumbnail for the video, using the generic background used throughout the video as a whole and the logo shown at the end of the video. As the colour scheme is simple, using only Orange, Yellow, Green and White, I was able to achieve the vibe of the video in a single image.
