During this week, I put in the time to finishing the run cycles that I have documented the process of in the previous two posts. In order to complete these animations to my best ability at the current time, I took each layer of the lineart, colouring the lines in Zest's signature lineart colour, and started with the first layer as a base to help me along. In order to have a consistent flow and design, I used the same base colour face on every layer, modified where needed.
This lessened the time it took me to finish every frame as I only needed to make minor changes to the hair and face and colour the body for every frame. I am very proud of the final result, feeling as though it conveys the aesthetic I was wanting to achieve along with helping to display the characters personality of a fun-loving, yet chaotic child.
I also finished the designs for the other two characters of Citrus and Tang during this time. Citrus was possibly the most difficult of the three as she has longer, more detailed hair that changed with each frame in order to achieve the look of her braid flowing in the wind. I feel as though I achieved the final desired look.
I found that I was having the easiest time colouring tang as he required less modifications between the layers thanks to his shorter hair style. I found myself getting faster with each frame as I was getting into the flow and pattern of the colouring process and actually found myself having fun during this part of my project.
